UCSI 1Card Sdn Bhd is an entity that manages a variety of facilities including convenience stores, premium items and creates, manages and maintains benefits for the UCSI Community, namely students and staff of UCSI.
UCSI 1Card is a multi-functional card. It functions as a student or staff card that doubles up as a debit card in collaboration with Hong Leong Islamic Bank (HLISB).
One can receive the UCSI 1Card once he or she is engaged as an employee or enrolled as a student at UCSI University or within UCSI Group Holdings respectively.
UCSI Group’s vision is to provide a cashless campus environment to enable its students and staff the convenience to move about, transact and enjoy the facilities in the environment without the hassle of bringing wallets/purses or cash with them.
The new UCSI 1Card serves to provide convenience and speedy services with easy access to cashless facilities in the environment via contactless payment or PIN payment. Like the old card, the new card also provides door access in the various facilities and it covers more extensive areas as the University is expanding and being upgraded.

For staff, like the old card, this card serves as your attendance’s record. UCSI 1Card’s Privileges enable the UCSI Community to enjoy awesome discounts from both the internal vendors within the campus and external merchants around and beyond the university campus.
As an existing staff or student, you have to give consent to the University to forward your data to HLISB to open your account by virtually clicking onto the link before entering into IIS. This pop up will appear before you can enter into the IIS i.e. as shown below:



Once you have given your consent, the University will forward your data to HLISB to enable them to initiate the opening of your account. However, the process of opening of account can only be completed upon completing the following steps with HLISB:
  1. Performing of biometrics and verification of Identity card
  2. Submission of existing staff or student card and collecting the new card
  3. Completing and signing the new account application form presented by the bank.
  4. Registering for Hong Leong Connect facility
The four steps above can be completed when the HLISB’s team conducts a roadshow at your campus.
The validity of the UCSI Debit Card with Hong Leong Islamic Bank is five years from the date of opening of account.
The annual fee is RM8 which will be charged to the UCSI Debit Card by HLISB after the 1st year.
Upon the completion of studies at UCSI, students CAN RETAIN the UCSI 1Card for banking facilities.

Upon staff resignation, staff too CAN RETAIN the UCSI 1Card to continue their banking facilities.

However the UCSI student or staff ID card’s function will be terminated following the completion of study or the staff’s resignation from UCSI respectively.

At any time, a minimum of RM10 must still be available in the HLISB account.
Yes, online, via ATM or through the Hong Leong Connect Mobile App. In order to check the balance on your mobile, you need to download the Hong Leong Connect Mobile App.
Money can be debited into the HLISB account any time. Please refer to Q9 above.
There is no application fee required.
The fee for replacing a card is RM25.
To open an account, HLISB will require 3 – 5 days. .
In the event that you lose your student or staff card, please call the HLISB call centre at: TEL: 603 – 7626 8899. You must be able to provide information for verification.
Please follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the card lost. The student and staff SOPs are slightly different.
Here are the list of events that can be considered as loss of card. Students or staff concerned will have to apply for card replacement with the University.
  • Robbed
  • Stolen
  • Dropped
  • Misplaced and cannot be found
  • Card swallowed by the ATM machine
SOP for students -
  1. Students to inform the HLISB’s Call Centre (603 – 7626 8899) on the loss of card.
  2. Call Centre’s personnel to suspend the account.
  3. Report the loss of card to the Registrar Office (RO).
  4. Complete a form to apply for card replacement at the RO.
  5. Make payment for card replacement at the Finance Office (FO).
  6. Submit receipt of payment to RO to verify payment has been made.
  7. RO to issue the new replacement card.
SOP for Staff -
  1. Staff to inform the HLISB’s Call Centre (603 – 7626 8899) on the loss of card.
  2. Call Centre’s personnel to suspend the account.
  3. Report the loss of card to the Group Human Resource Office (GHRO).
  4. Complete a form to apply for card replacement at GHRO.
  5. Make payment for card replacement at the Finance Office (FO).
  6. Submit receipt of payment to GHRO to verify payment has been made.
  7. GHRO to issue the new replacement card.
